About  Anjuli

Hello and thank you very much for visiting.  I am a Shoden and Okuden level Jikiden Reiki practitioner, trained and certified through the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan.

I have studied under Frank Arjava Petter, world renowned Reiki historian and author, who serves as the long-time Vice Representative of the Jikiden Reiki Institute, Kyoto.  Learning from Arjava Sensei has been a true gift. Teacher, mentor and all-around incredible human with countless life lessons to share…I look up to him in many ways.

I am one of only a few exclusive Jikiden Reiki practitioners in the Southern California area. I am a member of the Jikiden Reiki Institute (Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai) and the International Association for Reiki Practitioners (IARP.)  I am also a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (IIN) and am incredibly passionate about the roles that primary and secondary nutrition play in our lives – the 12 aspects that make up the quality of our life that drive what we put on our plates.

My pivot to this path began in 2015 with what was to be a seemingly unending series of devastating personal loss. The physical manifestation came on over the following year and I found myself very sick. I became buried under a heightened autoimmune condition and numerous associated health problems that touched every part of my life.

With support from my husband, I switched gears away from a successful full-time advertising career towards a path of wellness.  Along the way, I found IIN and soon after had my first experience with Reiki.  A visiting friend treated my debilitating migraine and I felt relief from the pain within minutes.  I was speechless (which is rare!)

Through the power of synchronicity, I continued to encounter Reiki over the next few months, but something didn’t quite feel right. When Jikiden Reiki presented itself in my life, the deeply rooted teachings resonated with me I took the leap to learn.

Fast-forward to now, my autoimmune condition on its way out completely, as are all other associated issues.

As I have learned, it’s not about setting out to reach something or about curing a headache – that comes as a wonderful byproduct -  it’s about creating alignment within and sharing the art of happiness. Through the practice of Jikiden Reiki and Integrative Nutrition, I treat the whole person: body, mind and spirit.  I incorporate both into everyday life with my family, friends, pets and volunteer work.

Thank you, again, for visiting and your interest in a little bit about me.
