As a Jikiden Reiki practitioner, I strictly adhere to the following code of ethics to:
- Practice Jikiden Reiki in compliance with the objectives of the Jikiden Reiki Institute (Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai)
- Refrain from discrimination against others in my practice of Jikiden Reiki on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, illness, age, social status, sexual orientation or religion
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all information about any client
- Ensure professional conduct is above reproach and to refrain from inappropriate behavior and/or taking physical, sexual, psychological, emotional or financial advantage of any client
- Commit to improving my knowledge of and skill in Jikiden Reiki practice and to follow the Reiki Gokai in my daily life
- With the common goal of promoting, encouraging and expanding the practice and teaching of Jikiden Reiki, I will respect, communicate and cooperate with other practitioners. Recognizing the value and common source of all Reiki, I will refrain from disparaging non-Jikiden Reiki practices.
